How do you make the hair?

I tend to draw the basic outlines of my hair first, then draw the bits that I want to overlap the hair underneath. The lighting thing on the hair took a bit of practice, but I used a navy blue watercolor pencil and a blue highlighter to color in the hair. Hope this helps. ^^ :)

I change the hair to what I think looks good, that's why I start with pencil XD don't worry, sometimes I have the same problem
