Blue: The Color of Calmness and Sharpness

Hey guys! It's Blue Aquamarine here with a post! Okay I know this is my third post of the day, but I wanted to make up for the five days I was not here. Hopefully you guess understand my reason. So I have been thinking, since I have a name that is a color, why don't I make a post about it! You might be thinking 'How will you make a post about a color? And if you do, won't it be off topic?' Well let me tell what this post is gonna be about. I'll take blue haired characters and see if they really represent the color blue and why. Well here it is! Enjoy.

What is blue?

Blue is a color of the color wheel. It is also a primary color along with yellow and red. Blue is the color of the sky and sea and is one of the more popular colors. Blue represents calmness, intelligence, leadership, loyalty, faithfulness, and more. The color blue almost represents a dog. A dog is loyal, faithful, and can be intelligent at times. Blue is a color many authors use for their characters hair color, but do they know what blue represents?

Esdeath

Now for our first character, Esdeath, I think the author used the color blue not to well. Esdeath is a leader, is faithful, is calm, and is loyal, but the thing is her personality makes all those traits seem weird to be described as her characteristics. She is a person who kills anyone in her way and thinks of ways to torture them. In most of her scenes, she has a air of danger around her, as she is usually seen killing or torturing people. I think Esdeath would be better suited with red hair rather than blue hair, though she would look like this

And the element ice wouldn't fit her, she would have fire instead. So it would be kinda weird since we are so used to her having blue hair and ice powers. Well what do you think? Should Esdeath have blue hair or red hair or maybe another hair color?

Noriko

Noriko is a very suitable choice for the color blue. She is very calm, intelligent, loyal, faithful, and I think she would make an amazing leader. She never seems to be startled or angry, she is always calm. She runs a project and uses her surroundings to help her, this proves she is very smart. She uses what she can, and her plan is successful. This also adds to her being a amazing leader! She commands everyone in their field and chooses her decisions wisely. She is also loyal. Noriko sticks with her plan and the people who work with her. She would never give them up and will always work with them. That also adds to her faithfulness. I think Noriko is a splendid example of the color blue, and that the author made the right choice of having her hair color blue.

Nagisa

I also think that Nagisa suits the color blue very well. He makes a great leader and is very calm. His intelligence is very high and he is also loyal and faithful in some ways. He makes a great leader because of his calmness, intelligence, and loyalty. He can make good judgments and he is calm so the team won't panic when they are attacked because he is always their to calm them. He is mostly shown with a calm face, his other expressions are mostly for comedic purposes. He handles situations well and always notes down his opponents weaknesses so he can attack them, this proves that he is not the one to just run into battle without a plan and that he is smart. All of this just shows us one thing: he would make a very good blue haired person, who he already is.

Jellal

Jellal is another great example of blue. He is a great leader and always seems calm (not when Erza is around though, ahh the ship shall sail.) he is also loyal and faithful. He is a great leader because he knows how to get people on his team and has no fear in leading them. He leads a small guild of people who were criminals and want to be good again. He is always calm as if his calmness knows no bounds. That is one of the essential parts to being a leader, he can lead them without panicking and won't be afraid to stand up for them and make decisions for them. He is loyal to his team and won't stop leading them even if something happens to him. All of this makes him a very good person to chose as a blue haired character, who he is.

Conclusion

I think that the authors of the manga's know the representation of blue and use the color wisely. Three out of the four examples that I showed you had showed almost all the representations of blue.
