We’ll pick up after 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙥 4 of my previous tutorial, so make sure your text is already added and selected using the 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙘 𝙒𝙖𝙣𝙙 tool.

✦ STEP ONE: ADD A GRADIENT

To add depth, I create a soft 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩 using the 𝘼𝙞𝙧𝙗𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙝 (𝙉𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙡) brush.

Choose a 𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙧 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧 and gently brush across the bottom.

✦ STEP TWO: ADD REFLECTION LINES

Add visual interest with a few 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨.

1. Switch to the 𝙁𝙚𝙡𝙩 𝙏𝙞𝙥 𝙋𝙚𝙣 (𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙙) brush.

2. Choose a 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 (𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙧) shade from your gradient color.

3. Use the 𝙍𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙤𝙤𝙡 to draw thick diagonal lines.

4. Lower the 𝙤𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙮 to make them subtle and shiny!

✦ STEP THREE: REMOVE SELECTION & MERGE

When you’re done styling your text:

1. 𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙘 𝙒𝙖𝙣𝙙 selection (no more moving lines/dashes around text).

2. 𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙚 your detail and text layers together so it becomes one layer.

✦ STEP FOUR: ADD OUTLINES

I use several outlines around the text to give my logos that thick, bold look. In order to do that, open the Filter Menu and use: Stroke (Outer) + Drop Shadow.
