So lately I've seen plenty of posts where people request to chat or request someone to be their friend. I think that such a concept is inherently flawed friendships are built organically you can't just request for someone to be your friend, it's not natural and even if someone does pm you the conversation won't last long. If you wanna get friends leave amino and interact with people irl. Usually this behaviour can be seen from introverted and reserve people who lack courage to talk to people
However, if you're interested in making virtual friends then directly message people or public chatrooms to organically make friends. This is the only solution. You can start by ing my public chatroom, we're all nice and welcoming so you'll have a good time

TL;DR SKILL ISSUEEEEEE
I don't think it's the request itself that's the issue but the people themselves. I don't think it's anything wrong with letting the latest feed know you're available but repeating it or relying on the other person to carry is dog water strat. That's why they sociability is hardstuck bronze
Fr, I've msged such people out of pity and they expect me to carry the entire conversation no wonder they can't develop connections. The requests aren't much of an issue as you've said but I rather have the feed filled with note-worthy content for instance blogs with intellectual discussions about anime. This is anime amino and hardly anyone talks about anime here mostly filled with brain rot nonsense
