Bocchi the Rock! is returning for a second season, while A Certain Scientific Railgun gets a long-awaited fourth season alongside the anime adaptation of Toaru Anbu no Item. Several other series, including The Kept Man of the Princess Knight, Even a Replica Can Fall in Love, and My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's, are also getting anime adaptations. Meanwhile, a new manga titled Agent Jupiter has been announced.

Bocchi the Rock! gets 2nd Season

The "Kessoku Band Tour 'We will B'" announced with a teaser video that production on the second Bocchi the Rock! anime season has been green-lit. The video reveals the new season's main staff.

Yūsuke Yamamoto replaces Keiichirō Saitō as the director of the new season at CloverWorks. Erika Yoshida returns to write the scripts, and Keito Oda s Kerorira in deg the characters.

A Certain Scientific Railgun gets 4th Season

The YouTube channel for the franchise based on Kazuma Kamachi's A Certain Magical Index light novel series announced in a teaser video that A Certain Scientific Railgun anime will get a fourth season "soon."

Returning cast include:

Rina Satō as Mikoto Misaka

Satomi Arai as Kuroko Shirai

Aki Toyosaki as Kazari Uiharu

Kanae Itō as Ruiko Saten

Tatsuyuki Nagai is returning to direct the anime at J.C. Staff. Kiyotaka Haimura is credited with the original character designs.

Toaru Anbu no Item gets Anime

The YouTube channel for the franchise based on Kazuma Kamachi's A Certain Magical Index light novel series announced in a teaser video Toaru Anbu no Item (A Certain ITEM of the Dark Side), the latest novel series in the franchise, will get an anime adaptation.

The cast includes:

   Ami Koshimizu as Shizuri Mugino

   Aya Suzaki as Rikou Takitsubou

   Maaya Uchida as Frenda Seivelun

   Chinatsu Akasaki as Saiai Kinuhata

The Kept Man of the Princess Knight gets Anime

Kadokawa announced that Toru Shirogane's The Kept Man of the Princess Knight light novel series will receive an anime adaptation.

The announcement trailer previews the voices of Arwin and Matthew. The series stars Mikako Komatsu as the princess knight Arwin and Junichi Suwabe as her kept man Matthew.

Chihiro Kumano is directing the series at Blade. Hisao Ishii is deg the characters based on the original light novel designs by Saki Mashima. Deko Akao is in charge of series scripts.

Yen Press describes the story:

   The Dungeon City is a wicked place filled with crime, debauchery, and death. Its one shining light is Arwin, the beautiful Crimson Princess Knight. She and her brave party of adventurers descend into the dungeon at the city's center, seeking a legendary treasure with the power to rebuild the princess's fallen kingdom. Many yearn to be by her side, but that spot is already taken by Matthew, a man despised by all in town as a cowardly weakling. Everyone thinks he is scum who just spends her hard-earned money on booze, women, and gambling. No one in the city—not even the princess knight— knows what Matthew is truly capable of.

Even a Replica Can Fall in Love gets Anime

The "Dengeki Bunko Winter Festival 2025" announced that Harunadon's Even a Replica Can Fall in Love (Replica Datte, Koi o Suru or Even a Replica Falls in Love) novel series has a television anime in the works. An announcement video was streamed.

Yen Press describes the story:

   When she doesn't feel well, when there's a test, when she doesn't want to go to school…I take her place. I'm her replica. I'm not meant for anything else. But that changed when I fell in love. I wear my hair up so the boy I fell for knows it's me. We skip school and promise to meet again tomorrow–and every day after. I'm her replica. Everything about me is borrowed and empty, but my heart is mine.

Hitozuma no Kuchibiru wa Kan Chūhai no Aji ga Shite gets Anime

An official X opened to announce the anime adaptation of writer Chinjao Musume and artist Tama Nogami's Hitozuma no Kuchibiru wa Kan Chūhai no Aji ga Shite manga, which will premiere this year. Nogami drew an illustration to commemorate the anime announcement:

The omnibus manga centers on college student Tsuyoshi, who loves drinking strong canned chūhai, and his encounters with various married women. The Japanese word chūhai is said to be originally an abbreviation of Shōchū Highball, but it generally refers to a drink made by mixing shōchū and carbonated water.

My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's gets Anime

Wright Film announced that Matsuri Akai's My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's light novel series will get a television anime adaptation, which will premiere in October. The company also revealed the anime's teaser trailer, teaser visual, main staff, and cast.

The anime stars:

Takeo Ōtsuka as Akira Oda

Saku Mizuno as Amelia Rosequartz

Nobuyoshi Habara is directing the anime at Sunrise. Kunihiko Okada is in charge of series scripts, and Hirona Okada and Kaori Saito are deg the characters. Masahiro Yamane is deg the monsters, Mitsuru Ishihara is the main animator, and Satoshi Igarashi is composing the music.

Seven Seas Entertainment's Airship describes the story:

   Oda Akira is the kind of guy who people forget is even there. His unassuming nature pays off, though, when his entire class is swept away to a fantasy world, and he slips easily into his new role as a silent assassin. Between his suspiciously high starting stats and too many details that don't fit, Akira is sure something is wrong. The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't a Guy at All gets Anime

The official X of Animate's AL.PLAZA Kusatsu branch in Shiga Prefecture posted an image of the "Animate Set" for Sumiko Arai's third The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't a Guy at All manga volume. The volume's wraparound jacket band in the post reports that the manga will receive an anime adaptation.

Yen Press describes the manga's story:

   Fashionable and upbeat high schooler Aya falls head over heels for an employee at a local CD shop. He's got an air of mystery about him, great style, and an impeccable music taste. Little does she know—this supposedly male employee is actually her female classmate Mitsuki! Mitsuki generally keeps to herself, but since her seat is right next to Aya's, she can't help but be extremely aware of the other's crush. Revealing the truth is out of the question for Mitsuki—but perhaps getting closer to Aya wouldn't be so bad…

New Manga Agent Jupiter

Kodansha launched a new X for Yūki Kodama's new manga Agent Jupiter. The manga will launch in Kodansha's Morning two magazine on February 20.
