Reed this dead app just to reccommend this masterpiece of a manga. I have never re-read something so much and found some more value from it every. single. time. I don't even what life was before I read this buddhist manga about existential rocks; and I'm glad that, that is a bygone era. Everything that I love about the medium of manga is beautifully presented in this wonderful story. Efficient stoytelling, unique immersion and the absolute pain that seinen tends to bring into my heart. I contemplated in making a 30+ paragraph blog for this compelling work, but seeing how absolutely hollow this community is lately-- l gave up in putting so much effort. I find discord discussion more fruitful anyway, nevertheless I still want to express how much I love this story in the sparced and incomplete manner that this blog is.

Since, I really do wish I'd have given the proper time and effort to extrapolate my thoughts and ion in a review of this series for people to read; but college work is taxing. Being 18 makes me feel like the planet is about to slip any second now-- so this manga making me so immersed in a beautiful fantasy in spite of the lack of time I have lately, shows how bountiful its unique world is. I've no idea how curators still even exist here, are you guys masochists or something? Or are you guys too nostalgic for your own good to leave? I respect the persistence though, maybe this app can go on forever. It's steadily going by thru the years.

Did I also mention how this fandom has some of the most visually creative fanart out there? Imagine the talent of the JoJo fandom and the Chainsaw Man fandom merged into steriods-- whilst removing the unncessary toxicity from those respective fandoms. You get the talented zenith of limitless base that is the Land of The Lustrous community.

In any case, read Houseki. It's my favorite manga! The anime adaptation is spectacular, but if full-on CGI isn't your thing-- you can stick with the artwork in the manga.

It's absolutely breathtaking.

Looks pretty, innit? The art is just as beautiful as the story. This manga is one of the most poignant and creative examinations of self-worth, identity and suffering I've ever read. It's a tumbling disaster that gets worse and worse-- and at the center of it is Phos, the centerpoint of all of its madness. Permesting around all of it, is something so horrifying as it is equally beautiful. I really hope anyone who reads this, who hasn't even heard of this underappreciated manga, will start it and soon find the endless wonder, suffering, and even more wonder that it gave to me.

Alright, that's enough gushing. Deleting this app again. Goodbye forever, I won't miss 99.99% of you, but 99.99% of you should read Houseki no Kuni/Land of The Lustrous.
