After a long nine month break due to exams, I have returned! and I am back with a blog. Yeah, the title of the blog is pretty self-explanatory so.. lets get right to it then? But just a quick note - these openings will not be ranked in any specific order, literally just a short list of openings that I loooove.

Samurai Champloo OP1

Battlecry - Nujabes ft Shing02

Okay, so starting this blog off with an opening from my all time favourite anime, Samurai Champloo. The opening itself is just beautiful. The anime itself is based on historical japan, but with hip-hop undertones. I think this is shown quite alot in the characters like Mugen's fighting style is all grimey and street whereas Jin's is professional and traditional. I love how the opening bring these two different personalities together, mushing them together, creating (in my personal opinion) a masterpiece. The visuals are so aesthetic; the colours and art involved really compliments the historical genre of this anime. Now onto the song used, which is honestly epic. Well, everything by Nujabes is.The lyrics are truly powerful. Now that I think about it, and bearing in mind the ending of the anime, its perfect. The beat and the backing music to the song really feeds into the hip hop aspect I mentioned earlier, and also matches well with samurai theme of the anime. As hip hop is a big influence on todays generation it was nice to see it featured in this anime, through the characters and the music.

Black Clover OP3

Black Rover - Vickeblanka

To be really honest, this is the best Black Clover Opening (don't @me). It's so catchy, I genuinely can't stop listening to it and it's just so good skskkskskksksksksk. One thing any anime opening needs in order to be a good one, is it must have good transitions. The song should flow with the visuals and example of how this is perfectly executed, is in Black Clover Op3. I might be blinded by my love for this anime opening but I see no flaws in it! The fight scenes shown in the opening only just makes me more anticipated for them (Yeah, I haven't 'exactly' finished Black Clover but this opening really motivates me to doing so). The colours in the opening aren't vibrant or aesthetic as what I prefer, but I couldnt imagine the opening any different from what it is. They used sepia for when Asta is with Yuno highlighting their past showing them working hard to get stronger and then they used vivid and colourful visuals for the present showing all their hard work being put to use for the good. This anime opening is addicting and I don't plan to stop listening to it/watching it any time soon.

World Trigger OP1

Sonar Pocket - GIRIGIRI

This opening is as underrated as the anime is. Comparing this with opening 2, opening 1 is way better on a spacial level. Opening 2 is a bit too slow for this girl who loves a lot of action. Back to opening 1, I love how it sort of starts of smooth and then it gets more upbeat; in addition, the visuals match up with this nicely. I love how all the characters in the anime, minor ones included, get a quick second to show off their fighting skills. Which is a nice thing to see as not only does no one gets left out, but you are quickly refreshed with everyones ability (and for someone like me who tend to forget things easily, its a blessing). One thing I noticed in the opening is how at 0:44, you see all the heroes in colour with a dark background. Just a wild thought; but knowing how so much bad events have ocurred in the anime they are sort of shown to be like a 'colourful' light of hope for the towns people (lowkey trying not to spoil anything). So yeah, to sum things up this anime opening is pretty damn good.

My Hero Academia OP4

Odd Future - UVERworld

Okay not going to lie to you all, but at first I disliked the opening. Like bearing in mind of the other openings, I just felt like it didn't really 'fit'. But eitherway, and although it took a while, the anime opening grew on me. Plus the group, UVERworld, known for making epic anime opening made this opening so it made it more or less easier for me to actually fall in love with it as their my favourite group. Although the other three openings are pretty damn amazing, this opening is my favourite out the three. The visuals are beautiful, bright, vibrant and my husbando shouto looking like a whole shnack. Whoever made the opening isn't getting paid enough.

Grisaia no Rakuen OP2

Setsuna no kajitsu - Maon Kurosaki

Best harem and most underrated anime out there, on god. This opening will forever be a favourite and its one of the few anime openings that I know the song off by heart. opening 1 and opening 2 use the same song, but the visuals in opening 2 are just better.. like it honestly seems like they put little to no effort in opening 1 when comparing it to this opening. The transition and the "camera" (I feel like there's another word for this so if you know do be a dear and drop it in the comments below) movements in this opening are amazing. The visuals go so well with Maon's voice. Her voice is really soft and smooth which matches up with these smooth asf transitions.The colours appear dark in most parts of the anime opening which makes sense as the anime in itself is pretty dark. To top it all off, the anime opening made my husbando number 2, Yuuji, look sooooooooooo good and the girls look badass.

Twin Star Exorcist OP3

Sync - lol

I was so tempted to put all of twin star exorcist openings in this blog; like they're all genuinely phenomenal. But as stated in the title, I had to choose my favourite and that was opening 3. It starts off all calm with the man singing, but when the woman starts singing the table starts twisting on beat and i'm over here bopping my head like a mad woman. Then you see the puppets of Benio and Rokuro fighting which I honestly think is awesome from the way how they're right on time with the beat; this and the ending of the opening where you see the twelve guardians are my favourite part. Those parts just stand out to me, mainly due to the fact as how perfectly it goes with the beat of the song. The colours are very dark I suppose and I didnt expect any less from this dark yet amazing anime.

Absolute Duo OP1

Absolute Soul - Konomi Suzuki

So out of all the anime that's on this list, this one is probably one of the worst that I've seen and I blame that on the ending.The opening, however, is really impressive. The colours are all so vibrant and make the opening more the better to watch. Best part, hands down, is when tooru and Julie is fighting and then they dance together. One, did it make me ship these two more but two, It flowed perfectly with Konomi's voice. They're the best duo and the anime opening provides evidence for that. Moreover, there is one thing negative about the opening that I have to say and (well to be fair this is kinda towards the anime) it's that it showed Tooru on fire and THAT WAS NOT IN THE ANIME and I was so anticipated for this scene which just never came about. Like, what's up with that Takumi? Hmm?

The Asterisk War OP2

The Asterisk War - Shiena Nishizawa

Last but not least, give it up for Asterisk War opening 2. Even if you're one who prefers Chivalry of a Failed Knight over The Asterisk war (In my opinion theyre as good as each other, but I'll save that for another time), you could not tell me that this opening isn't amazing. This anime was as enjoyable as the opening was for me; watching the opening right now I still get goosebumps (especially at 0:50). Shiena was made for this opening, as I couldn't imagine any other artist who could do have sang this any better. I love the change in shiena's voice from gentle to agressive which lines up nicely with the visuals. The colours are luminous and energetic, pairing up well with this action-packed anime. I like opening 1 of The Asterisk War, but I looooove opening 2.
