hello people of anime amino, welcome

to my first proper blog. i’m barbie, and

today i bring you edits. i usually just

make themes here,   but seeing as i’d

also consider myself an editor beyond

just theme making; i am now bringing

my own self proclaimed editing title to

life.   they’re   one   piece   edits, more

specifically anime one piece edits —

i have yet to see   the 1,079 episodes.

apps used for all edits, including psds:

ibis paint x, photopea and deviantart.

time taken   for   all   edits:    9    hours.

proof can be found in the comments.

i hope you enjoy, and do feel free to

give me constructive criticism on them.

or be brutally honest. now let’s get to it.

⌨… entering barbie’s   dreamhouse !

monkey d. luffy // モンキー・D・ルフィ

for luffy’s edit, i wanted to incorporate

and focus on the color scheme of his

outfit; the red shirt and blue pants,

while also matching nami’s hair since

i wanted to make their edits similar in

style. it took me two hours to figure

out the basics of the look of it, which

i think   turned   out   great!    the low

opacity background is of the going

merry   due   to    luffy’s   adventurous

spirit    and     pirate       king     dream.

nami // ナミ

for nami’s edit, i wanted to incorporate

and focus on the color scheme of her

outfit and hair; her blue dress, the gold

belt,   and her   orange hair (and   the

tangerines). this   edit   took   an hour,

seeing as i wanted   it to be similar to

luffy’s so they’d look good side by side

— also so that there was a clear vision

with their respective edits together. i  

think it turned out good, and i loved

how the colors came out with the psd.

the low opacity background is here of

a   map,   due   to    nami    being     the

navigator       of      the     straw.     hats.

SANJI              &             USOPP

vinsmoke sanji // ヴィンスモーク・サンジ

for sanji’s edit, i wanted to incorporate

and focus on the color scheme of his

jacket   and   hair;   the   brown   toned

colors and the yellow/light color. this

edit took me two hours, and was the

one i actually started with when edit-

ing this   little   one   piece bundle. it

turned out exactly how i wanted it to,

which   i’m   happy    about.   the    low

opacity background is of food due to

this man’s love for cooking (and also,

of course,   because   he’s the cook).

usopp // ウソップ

for    usopp’s    edit,     i     wanted    to

incorporate and focus on the colors of

his outfit — bag included; his yellow

pants, orange bag, and blue armband.

this edit took me one hour, with the

intention of having   it   be similar in

style to sanji’s edit. i like how it turned

out and just overall how the colors go

together for this one. the low opacity

background is of a bunch of balls due

to usopp being the resident sniper/

sharpshooter        for        the       crew.

ZORO              &             ROBIN

roronoa zoro // ロロノア・ゾロ

for zoro’s edit, i wanted to incorporate

and focus on the colors of his outfit,

with the cape; his green hair and red

cape,   while   also   including robin’s

burgundy top since their edits would

be the pair.   this edit took me two

hours, and was the one i started with

before moving to robin’s, so i had to

figure out what to do, while also not

wanting it to seem/be “repetitive” of

the other four edits. i really like how

it turned out and how the blue adds a

pop of color to it.   the low opacity

background is of money/berry due to

zoro also being a pirate hunter (apart

from swordsman,   but i couldn’t find

any good   backgrounds   of   swords

that would’ve matched/fit   the edit).

nico robin // ニコ・ロビン

for    robin’s     edit,     i      wanted     to

incorporate and focus on the colors of

her top, the green grapes and gold

treasure chest;   especially the green

grapes so the   edit   could tie   in   to

zoro’s and have the same feel to it,

despite robin and zoro being different

in of what they do. this edit took

me an hour to make, and i really love

how well it matches with zoro’s (i do,

however, think it came out a bit too

beige-ish, but it’s ed well by

the orange and burgundy colors of the

various   patterns).   the    low   opacity

background is of strawberries, simply

because she seems really sweet. i will

it to not knowing much about her,

besides the fact that she ate a devil

fruit (called the flower-flower fruit), so

i think the background’s also fitting to

some   degree    with    the   sweetness.

overall, i wanted to make all these edits

have a similar    style,   while also not

being exact   copies   of each other. i

wanted things like their names, the font

of them, and the overall pattern with

the lines and circles to be something

evident in them to make sure there was

a cohesive theme all throughout this

blog     when      they’d       be     posted.

i think i succeeded in doing all that and

bringing my little editing vision to life.

i’m also aware that while i pointed out

everything with the colors, that those

aren’t super clear; because of the psd.

the    original    edits,    excluding     the

addition of gifs and psds can be found

in the comments as well, for a better

understanding      of   what     i     mean.
