This is Risotto Nero from Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. I’ve been reading a lot of novels lately, but I’m really bad at drawing characters from imagination, so I picked a character from the latest anime I watched.

I almost always draw people, so this time I drew a landscape. I used bright colors and soft shading.

It doesn’t snow where I live so it’s not really a winter memory, but this is me and my family decorating the pine tree in my backyard! It’s my favorite memory because it’s out first Christmas tree.

This is one of the first drawings I did for my art class on my first year of high school 3+ years ago. I was experimenting with watercolor painting. I couldn’t draw eyes very well back then, so I almost always drew them closed.

For the new version, I knew I wanted to draw her with her eyes open to show that I have improved with drawing facial features. I used a soft shading style to mimic traditional painting. I’m proud with how this turned out.
