Pride Challenge Entry! On the topic of unity

Explanation

Personally, I'm heterosexual, but I believe that even if you're not lgbt+, you're allowed to it. There is a common misconception that the lgbt movement is straight people against lgbt, but I think it's much more complex.

I know multiple straight people who the community, and have friends in the community. I'm with both of them.

Why I chose the sexuality

The simple answer is that I myself am straight, but I also wanted to talk about something. As I mentioned earlier, sometimes straight people are stereotyped as against lgbt, but i feel that's an untrue stereotype. Yes there are some straight people who are against lgbt, but a lot are with it. I feel like I needed to talk about that, which brings us to my main topic, unity!

Unity

Unity is defined in the dictionary as the state of being one, but in this context, I think it's more about being able to accept peoples individuality and come together for a good cause.

Lgbt represents this. They accept all people and don't discriminate. Now I need to discuss what lgbt means to me.

(Thought this was fine since heterosexual is basically gray-scale)

What lgbt means to me

As with unity, lgbt has a basic definition as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual, but it also means a lot more. It, in a sense, is unity! It brings together all people, no matter their sexuality or gender. Because of this, I've decided to name my O.C Toitsu Ai, meaning unity love.
