• Why people block staff

Below are a few things we think people may block staff about.

Evading [guidelines]:

Some people may block staff, because they think they don't have to follow the [guidelines] that way. Our guidelines go for everyone; also the ones we can't message.

Scared of staff:

Some people( much like me when I first entered amino) may find staff a bit intimidating, not because of how they act, but merely because of the title. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us! Behind the mod menu, we're also just people and always in for a chat ^^

Personal issues:

If you have personal issues with a staff member, you still can't block them. If you can't act normally towards them, we ask you to leave the community. If a staff member offends you in this community, please message another member of our staff and we will handle the matter further.

• Why blocking staff is bannable

Okay, fun, somebody blocked staff. ... Does it really matter?

Blocking staff is bannable, because we can't reach out to you, no matter the circumstances. At receiving member reports, we wish to obtain both sides of the story, which we can't if one of them has us blocked. In minor problems like a reminder to add proof, this is at the member's own expense, but with bigger issues like, for example, harassment, it is also at the expense of others. That is why we do not tolerate the blocking of staff.

• Our current rule

From now on, when someone has a staff member blocked, they will receive an official warning, as thar is our only way of communicating when they have us blocked. After the warning, a member has 48 hours to unblock staff( as to be lenient with busy hours). If they don't, they will be banned.
