My Photography Through The Year 2019

Hi! This is a trend here in our amino with the year coming to the end. I don't know who started it this year, but Maddy, Sparkle, and Shine did it. I think I had a lot of improvement through this year and I think you will really notice it throughout this post.

January

At the time I liking this photoshoot, but it wasn't my favorite. Now I really don't like it. The angle is too low, the lighting is dark, and it's too close to her face.

February

I think these photos got a tiny bit better. The angles improved; However, the lighting is too dark. I also needed to improve on realism.

March

Here I started learning to use bokeh in the background. The background is bland though and the lighting is dark.

April

At the time I liked this photoshoot, but now I think it's awful. The angles are all titled and if you know me titled horizonal lines are my pet peeve. They are either too saturated or not saturated enough. They aren't consistent.

May

I actually really like these photos. My angles improved and my bokeh increased. Her eyes are a bit dark though.

June

This is where I feel my photos dramatically improved. The angles, backgrounds, and lighting improved.

July

This photo was pretty popular on Instagram for me. I think the environment really helped improve the photo. The lighting is a bit dark and I'm not good at shooting in dark lighting. I can't wait to go back there to try to recreate this photo.

I absolutely love this photo. I think it really shows my improvement. I started experimenting with props, even just a small phone.

September

I didn't take any real photos this month, but this one was taken on my phone. I think it's a cute version of the photo before in the same location. I don't feel it's part of my photography journey though.

October

I like this photo, although it was rushed. I didn't have time to do a real photoshoot this month. This photo is a bit too saturated and bright and the editing could improve.

November

I love this photo so much. I love how all the colors blend together and I like the use of the prop. I love the look of the background.

December

I love this photo! I like the angle and the editing. I love the snow on her head and how the white all blends together and makes her eyes pop. However, there is always room for improvement.

What I Feel I Should Work On

Continuing my photography journey, I feel I should work the most on creativity. I should work on not being afraid to bring my dolls to new locations and using exciting props. I am also considering going back into photography courses again this coming semester as I dropped them as of now. I need to continue keeping lighting, angles, and compositions the priority.
