Dollhouse adventures part 1

Hi hi Miki here and I thought it was about time to revive my page. So have these dollhouse progress photos stolen from my Insta stories :joy:

The Original Idea

This is what the dollhouse was going to look like, then I got Pearl for my birthday that year and before I knew it my collection exploded and the dollhouse morphed in to this Beast :tm:

The Beast :tm:

This thing was huge, so I decided to put it on wheels to make moving it easier. As you can see here we where building it on our tiny patio because the ground was flatter then the backyard. You can’t tell from this angle but the floors where actually uneven and stuck out.

This was also during the Australian summer and this year we had a wet summer, so for 2ish weeks we had rain, high humidity, then the odd dry day before it rained again. The wood did not like this... RIP The Beast :tm: (the back had also bowed away from the main frame)

Cube Time!

While tearing down the original dollhouse my mom suggested I build a bunch of cubes and just stack them. So that’s what I am currently doing. (Also by making them as cubes I can build them by myself, since my dad is very reluctant to do anything that doesn’t interest him :unamused: )

Here’s Fern in her newly completed room, i’m currently working on the decor and other little bits like a tree mural!

So far I have built two cubes, Fern’s room and the kitchen which is what that floral wall is part of. I’ve been meaning to take photos of the kitchen but where it is in my room the cube doesn’t get much light and I still need to buy some puck lights but once I do I want to a doll house tour!

P.s I’m currently writing this while drawing up the s for Rose’s room :eyes: part 2 soon??
