If you have the desire to write Fan Fiction, simply try it out, already write After Fan Fiction, or have that exciting story to share, then this tutorial will help you to create a beautifully written blog. When Fan Fiction is posted it’s because you might want everyone to see and read it. Your Fan Fiction is more likely to be featured or promoted if you write it by using these types of techniques.

Write Your Fan Fiction in a Manner That’s Easy to Read

1. You may ask why it’s important to write a story that is easy to read? Well, when you consider that with our modern day obsession with technology, phones, tablets and computers, people have gotten very impatient because we can get anything super fast, and reading can actually be tedious if your story is in a big clump of text.

Average Attention Span:

2. The average attention span these days is about 8-10 seconds, which means when someone opens your blog to read, you have those 8 to 10 seconds to grab the reader’s attention and keep them reading! That’s not a lot if you think about it, and if you keep someone reading past those first few seconds, then you have an additional 20 seconds to keep them reading. If you want someone to read keep them interested.

Spacing and grammar:

3. The next thing you will want to do is use proper spacing and dialogue so your story isn’t a huge clump of text. Paragraphs should only be about 3 sentences, 4 if the written paragraph isn’t very long. Why? It’s easier to read, plain and simple and you want your reader to keep reading!

4. It’s also important to have a good grammar so use proper grammar. Readers who will stumble upon different kinds of fan fictions will no doubt if they are any bit like me, a bookworm, compare the grammar to each bit and if it is lack of grammar in one even though the storyline is good ... too bad of grammar can cause loss of interest. Think about it. You wouldn’t wanna buy or read a book that starts a sentence with “I” all the time as an example or just really bad grammar in general, wouldn’t you? Writers whom have better grammar are more successful both at keeping readers interest and successful as an author, that’s just facts.

Dialogue:

5. Now for Dialogue, by using proper separation, your readers can see what your character’s are saying to each other in a concise manner. Think about the way most books are written, and think about how easy it is to read, that’s exactly what you want to do with your Fan Fiction! , you want to keep your readers reading!

Embedding Images:

6. By embedding images you can jazz up your Fan Fiction, coordinate what is happening in your Fan Fiction by putting corresponding images to enhance your story!

Use Bold, Italic and Center Features

7. You may have noticed on the screenshots above, the use of [BC], [B], and [C] where text is. These are actually additional features to make your blog look amazing!

There are two ways to use this feature. First you will use the long press on the screen and the black bar will appear. Then you will find Bold and Center tabs to tap on, you may not see them unless you tap on the arrow :arrow_right: at the end of the bar.

The second way to use these features is to simply use your keyboard and type it in...[BC], [B], or [C] and you have it! Personally I find it easier to just tap on them and paste it in, in the rest text. :+1: 🏻

Always Write Originally

8. This is very simple, and yet it’s important. Don’t copy any information you have gathered from an outside source or whatever Fan Fiction you have read on the internet. If you do that you are Plagiarizing someone else’s work, which isn’t allowed. I truthfully don’t think this will happen but I have to mention this, and as a FYI this rule applies to anything you post in this community

Tips to Creating a Well Written Fan Fiction Blog

:pencil: Use Bold, Italic and Center features.

:pencil: Use proper spacing between paragraphs and dialogue

:pencil: Put Dialogue into quotes and separate with spaces in between other dialogue or paragraphs. Use quotation marks and proper punctuation.

:pencil: Break up your text by adding embedded images in your Fan Fiction. You can use pictures, drawings and even gif’s to separate thoughts or breaks between events.

:pencil: If you use any sources please credit them at the bottom. It doesn’t matter what you look up, how much information you use (it can be for the smallest or tiniest bit of information, but it must be credited). It’s never ok to Plagiarize.

:pencil: Your original and well written and presented blogs will be promoted to the Front Page! This is probably, exactly what you want to happen, because more people will see your blog and read your Fan Fiction that you worked hard on!
