The Cafgon species is a currently a closed species, but I will probably open it up later.

Set rules:

-Must have a fish tale based on their gender

-must have a cat or bat like head

-must have dragon wings

-must have big feet

-must have fur

-must have some sort of jewelry

-must have the body structure of a fox

General:

-Usually striped

-Can reproduce (so if you get two adopted Cafgons you can breed them)

-A modern species

-can fold their wings up very tightly to the point appearing like scaly rods on their backs

Personalities:

Very from cafgon to cafgon. Just like humans. Although they tend to be calm and level headed. Also, jewelry, damnit.

Female differences:

- curvy, rounded ears

-prefer metals* to crystals

Diet:

All cafgons are either carnivores or herbivores. There is no in between. They form their clans based on eating habits.

Habitat differentiation:

Cafgons will sometimes live in very watery habitats. These cafgons have webbed paws instead of normal paws. Some cafgons live by beaches and need wider paws to be able to run from and to chase other animals.

Colors:

Cafgon fur can be very bright colors. The wings, eyes, tail fins, and wing webbing are more dulled.

Social patterns:

Cafgons will hang out in tribes of other cafgons with the same eating habits as them.

Habitat:

Cafgons will settle down anywhere that's not too cold and not a desert. They need to be near water weather it's freshwater or saltwater.

Anatomy:

Cafgons have an anatomy generally similar to a cat other than the fact that they have two digestive tracks. One for plants and one for meat. As they mature, the unneeded track dissolves into hormones of said cafgon's gender. Cafgons have a special filter for when drinking water, if the water is salt, it will be filtered to freshwater. Cafgons are built to swim but some are more water directed than others.

Uncommon traits include any natural color. The whites of their eyes are white.

Rare traits include pastel colors. The whites of their eyes are yellow.

Legendary traits include any colors. The whites of the eyes can be any almost white color.

Lore

In the very early days, when anthros wee just forming, cafgons were once just cats. They were made up of a clan of wild cats that had a strange mutation that gave them odd bone structures.

     These cats had mothers who were infected with a disease that made children grow with a strange body. The mother would then die in childbirth. The other cats would brush it off and didn't realize the harm. The children of these infected mothers had overly large paws and the torso of a fox. They became a problem when the children began to slow down the clan. They couldn't run as fast and were overly clumsy.

     It is said that one of these mutated cats once fell in a river. His name was Somnium Cafgon. Somnium had at first struggled, begging for help. But his clan wouldn't lift a finger. They had come to an agreement that all infected children would be terminated to halt the spread of disease. Somnium saw this look in their eyes and knew that they despised everything about him. Halting for half a second, the current dragged Somnium under the surface. He at first panicked, clawing at the water desperately. Then he realized that his wide paws might help him to swim. His altered bone structure was able to haul him gracefully through the currents.

     Jumping up on land, in front of his clan, Somnium slowly turned to glare at them. He called forth the other mutants, and informed them about their talent in water and how the other cats despised them. He offered them to make a new clan with him, where they would go collect other mutants and save them from their genocidal graves.

     These cats accepted. Nights later, Somnium lay awake, thinking about how they were so close to being knowledgeable as a separate species. The next morning, he told his followers to stay. That he was going to go to the goddess of crystals and propose something. His followers whispered rumors as he went and started his journey to the heavens.

     Somnium traveled for three days and three nights until finally, he reached the feet of the crystal goddess. "Your highest, I have a proposal..." he bowed. Somnium proposed that in return for extra features for him and his followers, they would honor only her. She accepted and gave them the traits that make cafgons unique.

     Somnium returned home with the news and some crystal jewelry. He informed them about his deal and that each of them would get wings, fish tails, etc, if they wore this enchanted jewelry. The jewelry was so the crystal goddess would know who was his followers and who was not. At this the mutants rejoiced and named themselves, The Cafgons.
