Greetings fellow , hope you are all doing well and welcome to my post.

As the title says, this post is based on the types of roleplay and honestly? It's a rant! Yay for those who enjoy that kind of thing, grab your tea and let's get started... Shall we? Before we go on, as always let me stay this. Everything writen here is my opinion, I expect you to respect it and of course if you have a different opinion from me you are free to share it in the comments provided that you won't be rude.

Instead of going through the trouble of telling you the type of roleplaying, you can always check this post, as it includes all the informationnl you will be needing before starting your journey into the world of roleplaying! If you have any questions, considering this you can always drop a comment below.

Have you read the post? Good! Then now I am sure you do know in which category you belong, isn't that great? Since you DO know, then make sure to either include it in your bio or your rules so that the interested to roleplay with you will see it! Of course, if you plan to make a post to request more partners because your PMs are dry like a dessert you'll have to include it so that people won't waste time if they are not what you are searching for.

Let us continue with something more important. Now if you can easily get mad, I advice you to leave from this post because the tea is getting hot. If not? Good! How many of you have the nerve to judge others because of the style they roleplay in? Please, be honest. Even I judge on that part but only if someone who is on a complete different category from me asks to roleplay. (Notice how I used the word category instead of level? That's because I freaking RESPECT the other person who uses a different style.)

And to say it with simple words so that the whose IQ has dropped to 5 due to being arrogant jerks here... WHO ON EARTH ARE YOU TO JUDGE? You are not perfect, neither am I nor anyone else in this community! So what gives you the right to judge others because they are illiterate or semi-literate?

“But Canon, one-liners also say mean things about those who write a lot!”

And no, before you question this line, I actually had a member here giving me THAT as an excuse to make rude comments. Congratulations, your parents must be extremely happy that you are so educated when it comes to manners.

Shall we take things from the beginning? The ones who constantly complain about how they can't find that are on the same ‘level’ as them to roleplay, who would always vent about that and how terrible it is... Who are they? The literate/advanced-literate roleplayers! Before you start feeling offended, I'm also in this category so I'm basically burning myself as well. And please, note that I am NOT saying that all people whonare literate/advanced-literate are like that don't take this too personal because it's not targeting everyone.

So, if you act that way it's only natural for those who enjoy writing less to feel as if they are worse at roleplaying because you are basically downgrading them. You don't have the right to complain about how they react, and of course you shouldn't even point them for the style they use to roleplay. Roleplaying is meant to be FUN, not having other judge you for how you roleplay. Do you have any idea how that can stress others and make them give up in roleplaying bevause they feel as if they are not good?

Since when is a roleplayer defined as ‘good’ just because they can write 3+ paragraphs that are detailed and another one is defined as ‘bad’ because they prefer to write 10-15 lines at most? If you don't wish to roleplay with someone who writes less than you, drcline their offer politely! “I expect you to write as much as I do!” If you never made it clear what your type is then don't even think about complaining.

I'm pretty sure that you've all been taught basic manners by your parents and at school ever since a young age. How hard could it be to use them in such situations? It isn't so hard to let the other person know that you are not interested in roleplaying because of whatever the reason may be. Don't just leave the chat and block them for no reason, that is immature. Explain your reasons and if they try to force you, state clearly that you don't wish to continue, wish them to have a nice day and then leave the chat.

Simple, isn't it? No matter what type the roleplayers may use they are still humans and they deserve to be respected. You can't attack someone because they dislike writing a lot, it isn't nice nor is it the right thing to do. You can always ask them if they are willing to expand their replies, if they decline just let them know the roleplay has come to an end due to that. NOTE: I am in no way saying you should blame them for ending the roleplay! All you can say is that you prefer your partners to be as detailed as you because that's how you enjoy roleplaying, if you try to blame them that might affect them and it's not something anyone should have to face here.

I happened to see a small rant post about how a member wishes for their partners to reply in the same way they do. After checking their profile, I realized that they never mentioned which type they use! Their replies apparently ‘vary’ and yet they claim in the comments they are literate. Did your brain burn as well to that or is it just me?

What is even worse is that we are talking about an adult... And no, I do not mean teenagers that recently became adults. Old enough to be more rational that young that simply roleplay for the sake of having fun. If I become like that as an adult then I am already ashamed of myself, that's all I have to say on that. And of course that does not go only for that specific member, it's towards everyone! Adult or no adult, we can at least be more aware of our own words.

Until next time...

Canon

There are a thousand things you can hate someone for, roleplaying is certainly not one of them. :joy: It would be too pathetic to hate someone over something that is meant to be fun.
