hello!! it a mashers!

so i saw that theres a little thing going on for #lyrioetry so i thought i shall give my shot :))

this isn’t new but it is fairly recent and i haven’t shared it here so woOp

b a c k s t o r y

this poem sort of thing, was written awhile ago about how people thrive off gossip and drama, and yearn for those materialistic short term satisfactions.

i wrote it in my little, songwriting book of things but never gotten around to finishing it till a few months ago.

then the virus hit and panic shopping started to pop up and somehow the lyrics fit the time period and it inspired me to finish it heh.

i guess overall the interpretation is up to you but ultimately to me, i think it serves more of a reminder to not reach a point in life where i would have to base my entertainment and fulfilment in life to little things that don’t matter much. for i rather live a life of purpose, leave a life of inspiration.

so with all said, whether i made sense or not, this is that little poem turned song that you can make sense of on your own

t w o   b i r d s

flying high are two birds

they’re wondering why

the people are falling like ants in a line

whisper amongst the trees

”you’d think by now they’d give up and leave”

ing by are two butterflies

they’re wondering why

no one’s more bothered at the true troubles in life

gossip amongst the flowers

”they’ve been going at it for hours”

i can’t believe we’ve come to this

it’s rather insane we’ve reached this ditch

where whole societies fuel off of pride and disdain

”the poor people in pain”

the creatures exclaim
