[Summer Series] Beachball Bracket Competition

Hello SCA!! Hope you enjoyed our first event in the this chat on Wednesday, June 30th at 1:00pm EDT! Please be sure to read through the post for specifics this event will work!

Rules & Mechanisms

• Must be 13 years or older.

• Please arrive at this chat on June 30th at 1:00pm EDT so we can get started as soon as possible.

• The competition will be bracket style. It will start with 12 people, then go to a 6, and finally 3. The first round will be Non-Themed. However, the second and third rounds must stick to the theme of summer. An example of the third round is below:

➪ A and B (a wins b loses)=> A goes against C. A and C (If C wins then c is 1st A is 2nd B is 3rd, if A wins then A is 1st and C and B will go against each other.) C and B (C wins then c is 2nd B is third)

• But this completion has a unique mechanism. Which makes it similar to song association but instead of a word you will be given a letter and you must start with said letter then the other person in the bracket must pick up with their opponent’s last letter. You will continue to go back and forth until someone is eliminated.

• Any questions can be asked at the competition chat, and a test round might be implemented.

• The initial time limit to find a song will be 10 seconds.

• Be respectful, patient, and listen to any instructions given by the Chat Monitors and/or Judges.

• Please keep typing a minimum while someone is preforming, it may cause the performer and/or judges to lag.

• Songs must be at least a minute long. Additionally, please refrain from excessive cursing and/or trigger topics.

• You are not allowed to switch spots or ask for a certain spot on the list. It will be first come first serve. If you need to be removed from the list please inform us.

• If you have any issues, don’t want your score to be published, and/or want more information please any Shalu (co leader).
