Hello everyone,

I'm Justin Foley, and today I want to share with you a very personal part of my life. Talking about the past is not easy, especially when it is full of dark moments and decisions that I am not proud of. However, I also think it is important to open up and show how I have worked to overcome those difficult times.

The Beginning of Everything

I grew up in an environment where pressure and expectations were a constant. From a very young age, I felt the need to fit in and be accepted, which led me to make the wrong decisions. High school was a particularly tumultuous period for me. Between the pressure of my peers and my own internal conflicts, I found myself taking dark paths, falling into alcohol and drugs as a way to escape.

The Point of Break

There was a decisive moment in my life, a breaking point that forced me to face reality. After several traumatic events and seeing how my actions affected those around me, I realized that I needed to make a change. It bottomed out when I lost control of my life and I realized that, if I didn't do something soon, I wouldn't survive.

The Road to Recovery

I decided to enter a rehabilitation program. It was one of the most difficult decisions, but also one of the most important of my life. Rehabilitation not only helped me leave the substances, but also provided me with the necessary tools to face my inner demons. I learned about the importance of mental health and how to build a healthier and more balanced life.

Learning to forgive myself

One of the most difficult lessons was learning to forgive myself. I lived a long time with guilt and regret for the things I had done and the people I had hurt. However, with the of therapists, friends and family, I began to understand that clinging to that guilt only prevented me from moving forward. Learning to forgive myself was crucial for my recovery.

The Importance of

I couldn't have overcome all this alone. The of my family and friends was essential. I surrounded myself with people who believed in me, even when I didn't do it myself. I also found comfort and guidance in therapy and in groups, where I was able to share my experiences and learn from those of others.

Looking Forward

Today, I'm in a much better place. I'm not saying it's easy, because it's not. Recovery is a continuous process, a daily battle that requires effort and dedication. But I am grateful for every day that offers me the opportunity to be a better version of myself. I am working on my relationships, my mental health and on finding a purpose that motivates me to move forward.
