A lovely little bird | A 13 RW Spring/Easter Challenge Entry

Hey everyone! I know I'm kind of posting last minute, but I really wanted to this challenge :see_no_evil: I haven't written poetry for a long time due to feeling like I've lost my spark (the poems used to almost flow from my pen onto the paper by themselves and now nothing), I just wanted to give it a shot anyway. So here I go!

A lovely little bird

Outside my bedroom window

Stands a blooming birch

That every day at sundown

Houses a lovely little bird

She made the decision

To call this tree her home

Thus returns the little pigeon

After her daily roam

In this particular birch tree

She makes herself comfortable

And from my bedroom I can see

She looks so very adorable

I see her eyes softly close

And slowly as the night falls

Off the little pigeon dozes

Asleep until the morning calls
